Travertine - repairing holes !!

Here's a tip to anyone who doesn't know...
If you experience problems with travertine, where some of the filler has come out, or if a small hole appears in one of the floor tiles, there is a purpose designed repair kit called JOLLY MASTIC. It is a 2 part resin based product, comprising of paste and hardener. Just mix a small amount together with a few dots of the hardener supplied in a separate tube. Smooth over hole with a stanley knife blade. Scrape off excess. Allow to harden - does this quite quickly. Once set is dries extremely hard and is polishable or sandable. Comes in a number of different colours - best one for travertine is "vertical straw" as this is almost identical to the filler on filled trav.

Fill with a stanley blade:yikes: That must be very fiddly, I'll help you out here buy you self some filling blades

You can get them from most trade decorators merchants, be careful because i've seen them for sale online priced at £25! I pay £2.10 for the very same blades in a very well know paint brands store

Easy enough with stanley blade, most holes only small.
