HD45081_Black_White.jpg Doing a hall floor next week with these tiles,my problem is with the border as you have a corner inset how would I go about following the pattern. The customer wants the border against the skirting which is going to be hard to get the border to follow, the main tile is 33cm x 33cm border is 33cm x 11 cm and corner inset is 11 cm x 11 cm,has anyone layed these tiles,I have done plenty of Geo floors but think this one's not going to work out right,a few pointer's would be much apreciated.

I'm sure u've suggested it but Would they not accept a plain tile between border and skirting? That way u could move it left and right, up and down to make border fit.
Surely it won't work any other way unless their hallway measures exact tiles, will it?
U would only need it to be upto half the width of one of the smaller squares wouldn't u?

Yes I have metioned this as its the only way to go but the customer wants the border against the skirting just like in the picture, did tell them doing that way the pattern will be lost, but she cannot understand.

Customers , what are they like! , You have to have a solid tile between the border and skirting . Tell her to go and look at a Victorian floor

It's not going to happen with full tiles unless you build the walls like in the picture!
The border can go around the outside but you'll have to cut the centre design to fit. Not perfect and doubt if I'd be interested.
Good luck.

Ive convinced her now, been on the phone explaining thats the best way I said it always looks good in photo,s but never works out like that ,it was the border that concerned me more but now that I can go with a plain tile against the skirting makes it easier ,I have a few orginal style black but this will not be enough and as I will be starting on Monday have asked her to go to Topps and find a near match even if its a bigger. tile I can cut them down.

Well after all that ,I get a phone call yesterday saying "I have decided to cancel",she did not like the sales people in Topps, said they was no help and had decided that the tiles are not as good as the real thing after visiting the local Original style stockist.
