Hi all,

Just a regular DIYer interested in trying something new/better for hi latest project (bathroom walls).

Can anyone offer advice on what bed depth slanted (Raimondi) trowels give? The gaps between the notches look less area compared to regular square notched trowels so I am guessing the bed is more with same sized trowels.

Thanks!

I don't think they'd use more adhesive per se. They're designed for a solid bed that's all. Check the tool reviews forum. Can't remember the name right now but it was a fairly recent thread. Another brand but basically the same idea. Shaped ridges to give a solid bed easier but didn't use any more adhesive than normal.

Didn't really answer your question did I? Lol

Rubi do 45 degree notched trowels. They give a full notch depth without having to hold the trowel perpendicular to the floor. It's a more comfortable grip, rather than having to angle your wrist close to the floor.
