got to fit a folding shower screen over bath, wall that i'm fixing it to, is half tiled, and the wall is hollow plaster board (egg-box type **** i think)
what fixings would you recommend? they just supply the normal 1" screws with brown rawl plugs, dont think these will hold in wall?

Am i right in thinkin half the screen will be fixed to tile and half to wall? In which case you will have a gap?
How do you intend to get over that and if its a shower why is it not fully tiled?

yes you'r right, i didn't tile it, just doing this little job as a favour,
going to build it out at top fixing.....only about 6mm, then seal it with silicon
----
its just a cheap housing association house so they'v cut cost by not having it fully tiled???? i know what your saying

wont water get behind the tiles. Is it just panted then? Be better to get a border tile, or sheet of mosaics cut as a border, and continue same or new tiles above. Hence border if old tiles. All sounds a bit odd.

hiya, just a thought if it can be swung open on a hinge and you seal it with Silicon it will eventually if not break the seal straight away. Speaking from experience when i tried to seal over a mosaic border!
