Hi - I'm a novice tiler and have been reading the debate. Just putting in a shower and not a straight line anywere. Got a massive gap about 2-3 cms between shower tray and wall. Dad told me to bridge gap with grout and then use tile quadrants (plastic seams to be trap for all type of nasties) and a silicon sealant. Where do you get tile quadrants from? Normal DIY shops and Top Tile doesn't do them. Cant find them on internet - links only to forum sites like these. Please help. thanks

Peg your tiles up with Rubi wedges, about 2mm, Silicon likes to have a gap to go into, not just a 90 degree angle, thats the problem with Silicon, if you know how it likes to be used, you'll never have problems. Also, if it is a acrylic bath, fill it up with water before siliconing, that way it will move with the eventual weight of water and human.

This is the same way I do it. It gives the Silicon a chance to bed into the gap to create a far better seal.

Having watched the installation videos on the Teleseal website you still need to seal it to the tiles anyway

Silicon every time !! you can cut it out and replace when necessary, seals are in for good , kick the bottom row of tiles out , can leak , go scummy looking etc etc...
