Hello all,

I am new to this forum and have joined to ask for some advice.

We have recently had some tiling completed and i have noticed that the majority of the trims tht have been used all have scratches on them, not huge ones, but noticable under the lights.

Can you please help me and let me know if there are any 'tricks of the trade' that can get these removed otherwise this will be a massive job to get them all out and re-done........!!!

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Hi,

Yes, with limited success... i'm getting 'it wasn't like that when it went in' etc etc etc....

most i have used usually have a plastic protective strip covering them which i remove after fitting them , as they do mark up easily , as for removing scratches not sure what you could use

I have used Autosol to get rid of blemishes in trim but not sure if it will get rid of scratches. I suppose it depends how deep they are. Are all the scratches near grout joints as it could be the coarseness of the grout that has caused the scratches?

You can get Autosol from Halfords or some car place like that. Try it first in an inconspicuous place i.e. not in the middle of window
