plywood

I think there was some sort of new “regulation” introduced about 4 years ago that prohibited the use of plywood as a backing substrate in bathrooms, does anyone know if I am correct? Could you remind me what the regulation was, many thanks. Rob

Not that i am aware of...not a regulation anyway...

The new changes to bs5385 parts 4 and 5 2009 now recommend tanking in bathroom showers etc....haven't had a full read of the new standards though..
