very lucky indeed. my husband was in a state of shock when he crashed.

I watched the race and for the first time in ages whilst watching f1 i gasped when the car started flipping, then he just smashed into the tyres and simply chucked the steering wheel away and got out of the wreck and walked away more angry than anything else.

You'd think his engine had stalled or something the way he just jumped out and walked off, not that he'd had a massive high speed crash.

Its a testament to the safety features and design of the cars.

I think he broke one leg and had a back injury. Considering the impact it's quite incredible.
