hi im a newbie

hello im a newbie i'm a 27 old engineer from carlisle and no novice to ceramic tiling but never touch porcelain tiles.

ive got 600 x 300 porcelain tiles to fix in the bathroom (on the wall) wots the best way to do this im going to fix new plaster board (moisture resistant) to exsisting plaster using mechaincal means, this is better than plastered drywall aint it?.

any advice would be great as i don't want one of these tiles falling on my head whilst in the bath.

Best adhesive i know i need a cement based adhesive and not tubbed stuff.
can i use the bath lip instead of using battens.

please help many thanks.

Hello and welcome.....

Some porcs can be to heavy for skimmed walls, so best to find the weight per mtr.. if you have the option to dry line then that is a good option....

its roughly 20kg per m2

well im putting a studded wall up on one wall any road as i'm housing some water pipes for the over bath shower which isn't got at the minute.

wats the best adhesive to use, like i say i don't want any to fall off, my 2 year daughter uses the bath to, better to be safe than sorry. shes my princess!! sorry for sounding cheesey lol
