just starting out in tiling could any body give us some advice on what 2 charge per sq meter in the south wales area

Hey and welcome to the forums Yoza. The charge rate around there would be similar to here (Staffordshire) I would have though so around £10 - £14 for your yellow pages traders (cheap cheap) all inc adhesives, tiles and gold bullion. Then your real tilers around £18 - £28 sometimes with adhesives, sometimes without. Just a rough rough guide really, the type of jobs, speed, contacts and all sorts would come in to play with your pricing, and when you've just stared out I'd say accept the fact that you could just be getting your name about and things so work could be slower than expected therefor income could be slow too. But get your cards in tile stores and advertise sensibly and you'll soon get a couple of months behind with your work, which is always a nice secure feeling. 🙂
