Evening fellas.
Laid 120kg of Ultra Level It Oneself Levelling Compound at an average of 5mm (to cover UFH). This was poured onto 2 week old latex (same stuff) that levelled out the original screed floor. Prep' has been thorough in the 2 part application, i.e, SBR on original floor, SBR on top of latex, UFH and then latex.

I was happy with the mix that I poured and the manner in which it went down. Came in this morning to see that the surface had dusted up, almost skiddy but not slippery (if that makes sense). This didn't happen on the original levelling of the floor (been walking on it all the time) or any other time I've latexed. I was supposed to have tiled the floor tomorrow, would SBR suffice again (I would have done that anyway) to seal it after I have gently swept the dust away?

Cheers, Jel

too much water in the mix, ultra level it is good in my opinion but going that little too far with the water leaves a laitance on top of it. I sanded it off and primed and tiled.

I usually go 5 litres where it asks for 4.25 as it's a heavy sand mix. Although these days I usually would like to use Mapei Renovation screed, my budget prefers to stay at the tenner a bag I pay for ultra as the areas I screed are usually small areas ! Larger areas...Mapei!

I just had to sweep the dust off, prime and tile today. Deliberately laid a tile in a different non UFH area to test and had difficulty getting it up after a few hours.

Cheers for the reply though.
