i used some dunlop flexi additve on saturday when i took the lid off it smelled to me just like pva it also slowed the adhesive down (i was using rapid set) does anyone know if it is pva ,as if so ,i wont use it again

Gary I'm technical support for the Dunlop brand, I can tell you categorically it is not P.V.A.
 
thanks for the speedy reply i use a lot of dunlop probably 2-pallets a month love the large format and the blue lid tubbed gear is like white star when it 1st came out before you changed it ,i normally use sbr as a flexi additive is this ok ?
 
AD1 is a specific admix for adhesives with the BAL range, and gives extra flexibility. SBR is more for sealing, priming, dustproofing and as a bonding agent in cements.The Dunlop range has it's own specific product.
