Dear all

I am new to this forum, hopefully someone could help me on this. For my bathroom I am going to fix the Hardibacker 12mm on to the metal stud and then tile on it. My question is that the Toppstile guys told me to use Homelux Waterproof Matting (Waterproof Wall Matting 5M2) between tiles and Hardibacker to work as a waterproof barrier. Whilst the 'Hardibacker Rep' guy said in one of your old threads that he did not recommend tanking over the board.

Who should I believe? Also as I have already used the Waterproof Matting on a part of my wall. Will it do any harm?

Thanks a lot!!!

Using the matting is different to using a solution tanking on hardi...

It will be fine and use a flexi rapid setting cement based adhesive....hardi is water resistant as not to b reak down in contact with water but will not stop water passing through it.
