Hi lodger. I would blame blade wander. The standard Dewalt blade IMO is poo.

I have a DNA blade and no wander at all , mm perfect cuts.

I find that with the standard blade and hard tiles, to avoid blade wander, use the plunge as well as the slide, if that makes sense.

Hi, that's how I always cut tiles on the machine. Plunge till it touches the tile and slide the bed forward, then plunge further in and pull the bed back. Once the tile has a groove, I can lock the head fully plunged and cut as normal.
I have to mark the tiles on both sides and align the tile on the machine on both marks to get a straight cut mostly having to move the tile left or right 1-2mm on the front edge.
Really strange, as sometimes I will put a tile on the bed and it's perfectly straight.

i've had the dewalt for 6years now.never let me down. still cuts as accurate as the day i bought it.no resetting needed after time, unlike the previous rubi i had which put me off rubi wet cutters for life.

you won't regret the rubi, although you'll want to put a decent blade in it
