Would wait till plaster appears dry - would expect 2 weeks to be safe if it was me !!

I'm sure there are some weight issues here. Shouldn't you knock off artex before tiling?

The best way to remove artex is using a wallpaper stripper then scrape off trying not to make any dust.

I think you might be right about the weight issue, but theoretically, if the artex was sound then 'skimmed' the artex should be the same as the skim, ie:- 20kg per sq m... the only difference is that the plaster skim weight would need to bee added to the tile and adhesive weight.....I think
