Just wondered as I have a very large stamp collection to sort out and sell. Also I was given about 500 original pictures of stars from the 1930s- 1950s. About 200 autographed. A load of pre war toy trains as well.
I've got my stamps from 50+ years ago, never bothered since then but still kept them.
If you realised the value of some items now you'd have saved more.
Look forward to seeing you on Antique Roadshow.
My Grandad left me his stamp collection when he passed on. He had a few blacks, but all been stamped. Need to get it valued for insurance. He had around 47000 from all round the world since he started collecting at the end of WW2. We last counted it around 12 years ago. Been adding some of the latest royal mail collections recently to keep it going but not really taken it as seriously as I probably should.
