Hi people,
I'm considering an important change to the forum and the way we work it and would like your input.
I want all tile showrooms on here, FOC. But don't want it to turn into a big sales fest.
We have the new Cafe where they can chat with pro tiler and share prices etc.
So wondering if...
I've come up with an idea. This new selling system that gives an optional percentage of the sale to the forum would perhaps be better off going to a charity. And not towards the running costs of the forum.
The thinking behind it is if we vote every few months and change the charity every few...
Rate a tilers projects forum category would be cool?
So you'd start a thread and show the jobs your doing or just the completed jobs to show off a bit and show potential customers your work.
But I'd prevent replies to the threads maybe, so only you can reply to your own threads.
Sort of...

Hi people,
I've been giving this email lark some thought. And thought what is probably best going forward, is a tilersforums.com opt-in Newsletter, one that you physically want in your inbox. Less news and updates about the forum, and more deals and discounts and what's going on with suppliers...
The sticky threads in the tiling forum were getting a bit heavy. So I thought I'd put them in a 'sticky thread thread' so there's not as much scrolling needed in the tiling forum if you're not actually looking for the stickys.

My and @Lou thought we'd knock up a new forum yesterday so looked through some domain names we have, and rather than start something else business or automotive-related we thought we'd try something new so we went for more of a social theme with BritishForums.co.uk.
So far we've sorted out the...
I thought I'd do my part yesterday afternoon and use the sponsor's insurance comparison service for my PL insurance.
Big Mistake!
I completed the on-line bits about 3pm. I had my first phone call exactly 5 seconds later.
As of today - approx 24hrs later - 19 calls from various brokers and...
Hi all,
I used to post on here years ago, some of you might remember me.
I disappeared from the tiling sceen for a while and although I stayed within the tiling industry (sales rep for N&C) I came off the tools and donned a shirt and tie for a while instead!!
Long story short, I didn't enjoy...
If you look at the forums (CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE FORUMS NEW HOMEPAGE) you will see (at least if you're on a PC or Tablet in Landscape view) the total number of views each of the forum categories have had. The main tiling forum, 31.7 MILLION views!
Well done people.
Seems BAL are giving this forum lark another go. 4 admins, 18 or so moderators. 40 threads. That's two threads each to moderate. And most of the threads have no replies, and are nearly all done by staff.
Their attempt to get the PVA v Primers discussion going shows why it's hard for a company...
I'm pleased to announce a sponsor we're proud to have on board. Schlüter and Ü. :)
Please sign up to their website: Schluter And U - http://www.schluterandu.co.uk/?click=sign-up
You'll get information about training, competitions, prizes, and news, all for Ü.
Another thing keeping tabs on is...
Anyone else having the page jumping all over the place when loading a thread? Annoying!
And you can't see when you have alerts either because of santas hat
