What did it end up being? The faucets piping or the trap? U-bend, whatever it was.

Pan liner attaches to the drain via 4 bolts/clamp ring collar. On top of liner there is a mortar bed/tile. The water penetrates the grout/mortar bed all the way to the pan liner. The shower pan will trap in the water/never gets dry unless you stop using it for 3 months. Water/moist will rust the bolts contaminating the liner. Liner gets brittle over time & starts to crack around the drain

thanks for replying. Work will Be in Nottingham round about Mar/Apr time. Unsure on m2 as yet, but should find out before Christmas. Keep an eye on this thread if you’re interested pal.
