ultra colour plus 112 - Tile Advice

i cant get on with this grout, mixed it to specifications ,grouting 600x600 porcelain ,poor finish when washed off ,slumping pin holes, the heat might not help 80 degrees in the building we are working in ,spoke with mapei tech guys they are going to check the batch see if all is ok with it

You are mixing too much air into it..

I have used 112 loads this past few weeks including today.. No probs at all..

how long do you leave before washing it of,not sure air is the prob mixing it slow laeaving for a few mins another mix ,its really runny

we used the same grout on the walls ceramics no probs, this is a new batch ,just cant get it right, im not a novice ,its doing my head in

Leave it till it is firm in the joints.. Ultra colour isn't difficult to wash of the tiles surface unlike some other brands that are a mare to wash off, so leave it to set up before washing off.

Agreed, I use UCP all the time, especially on floors. Used it today with no problems.

I leave it on for 10 - 15 minutes, then emulsify. Once the whole floor s emulsified, I go over it quite firm with a sponge, rinse off and repeat. After this just buff off with a cloth.

Probably over mixed if air bubbles are coming through. Hope it gets sorted out, I'll keep me eye out fr the next time I use 112.
