Massive isn't it? Nightmare, .....uurrgh, look at those crack in the chimney wall, with 50tons above.. but they are so positive!

What surprised me was they used the lime mortor in winter...

No rushing a job like that and yes, the chimney was a very bad state with an estimated 50 ton of stone work above:yikes:

I noticed the lime mortar as well, as we just talked about it recently, I think it was all about authenticity... I wouldn't want to rattle about in a huge place like that though, just the two of them with family and guests visiting everynow and then? And must cost a fortune to heat,... still, they looked none the worse for the stress of it, I admired them.
