Discuss Keraflex Maxi/Keraquick Rapid/Ditra question in the Canada area at TilersForums. The USA and UK Tiling Forum (Also now Aus, Canada, ROI, and more)

what

I'm on the second stage of my calibrated slate tiling project after completing one room (concrete floor) and rebuilding the suspended floor in another room to take tiling. Having fixed the all Ditra to the floors with Keraflex Maxi S1 I am left with some bags left over. With a limited amount supply of Keraquick Rapid set S1 to bond the tiles to the Ditra (as i have under estimated the coverage required with Ditra -filling the waffle plus back buttering and maintaining levels etc) I am considering using the left over the Keraflex Maxi S1 along the edges and underneath cupboards to bond the tiles to the Ditra. Is this ok to do?

As above yeah, just don't mix the mixes but you should be fine using the two types.
What I'd do rather than do all the edges though is perhaps stick to one corner or something. So if they do act slightly different in different temperatures or whatever, you're not making the whole floor problematic like you would if you did all the edges/cuts with one type and the main guts of the floor with another.

You've used all decent products there though I can't see there actually being a problem to be honest.
