Just thought I would share my thoughts on this bargain I came across.

Having used the usual sub 200.00 wet saws many times and many makes later I decided to invest in a decent rail saw.

This saw hasnt dissapointed, cuts clean, accurate and pretty fast, another bonus is after cutting several tiles I am relativley "semi dry".

However my rubi ts60 is c**p at cutting 600mm porcelain ( obviously the fixed breaker is causing all the problems IMO)so looking for something to do the job there....suggestions please?

Just thought I would share my opinion.

rock on !

Reckon I may well go for tx700n, just dont want to spend lots on something that wont perform, but all the feedback here says "its a goer"
I am actually a plasterer turned building contractor about 10 years ago, I specialise in barn and period building work but have always tiled the properties myself.
Alot has been done in reclaimed tiles from much older properties, I remember tiling the downstairs floors in 8 inch quarries of interesting colours that came from an enginnering works.
They had to be each cleaned due to the oil spillage etc by the labourers; customer wanted an enclosed diamiond border with a herringbone center; took ages but looked the business when complete.
To top it all the tiles varied in thickness from an inch to an inch and 3/4, obviously layed them on a mortar bed.(if only I could dig out the pictures).
sorry to ramble:lol:
