All, I am about to start a job and plan on using Ditra 25 over concrete. Talking to my local, very good supplier, he has suggested I try a new Ardex product under the Ditra matting. I didn’t get the name but he described it as like a sticky glue that can be troweled directly onto ‘crete before laying out matting. Has anyone used a “glue” type product under matting ?, I have previously only used thin set under matting !. Any thoughts ?!.

AF200 plus it's called and not that new. Yes used it and works will. Much preferred the old AF200. I'd stick to thin set if that's what you you have used before on screed. I use the AF 200 on gypsum screeds

Thanks Julian, looking at the Ardex info it does look simple and quicker to use and only a few £’s more than usual adhesive !. Think I might give it a try for this job, just to see how how it goes. What size trowel do you use to spread the material ?, is a 4.5 x 4.5 sq notch trowel suitable ?. Thanks

Approximately 45m2 per 14kg tub using a B1 or 2mm x 6mm v-notch trowel
