Hi all

We had a wet room installed 12 months ago and at the time we weren't happy with the work that was completed - so we withheld 5% from the total cost of the job (it was part of a complete loft conversion).

we've had constant problems with the wet room - photos below - and now water is squirting (squelching?) up through the tiles - so we've stopped using it. Would welcome any thoughts on the job and the quality and, if you're in the Northampton area, anyone that could lend a hand in rectifying. We're much in need of some 'formal' and specialist evidence as we're being pursued for the final 5% and we need to find some way of justifying our decision.

Thanks in advance

Can’t really tell much from the photos but it doesn’t sound good, if there is squelching and water coming up that would suggest the tiles are moving. What was the preparation methods and materials used ?

Did they offer a house builders guarantee?
You need to get a couple of estimates to rectify the work.
Did you keep the original specification for the tanking etc.
