Ok so just about everyone knows what I've been up to this year. :D
Well you'll be relieved to know this is the final set of images in a post and so as not to bore you to death with hundreds of images, here are my official few and the rest of the job can be viewed on a short video on utube.

Are you sure that's it now!
Ok - it's one of the best jobs ever to be posted on here in the 7 years I've been viewing.
One could tell from the model to installation it was going to be a bit special and those pictures just show that there are new developments happening in our trade all the time.
This is work of the highest quality and you deserve all the praise (along with your team) for an outstanding project.
Well done Marc.

Are you sure that's it now!.

Yep think so mate! :D

You're dead right John, our industry is developing at a rate of knots at the moment.
I appreciate that there was a lot posted about the job, but one of the ideas behind the posting was to show exactly that, and to try and take away some of the mystery away in fixing it.
Because a lot are weary of it.
And the fixers that do have a go generally have a
"I've been fixing all my life, I know how to do it!" attitude, which then often ends in tears and they blame the product.
When instead, they should be taking the blame themselves, because they've refused advice.
There's nothing wrong with the product at all.
Certainly not Porcel-Thin™ anyway.
You may think I'm biased, and maybe I am to an extent, but, every job I've been involved with, the tiles are perfectly sized, square and not at all bowed. Which as we all know is common place now with large pieces.
Large formats are here to stay, and are growing in popularity with developers, architects and the general public.
Before long, fixing these types of materials will be common place, I genuinely believe that.
And if flooding the forum with posts helps to educate one more fixer or helps to change the way the product is viewed by a fixer, I've done my job.

But deep down, I want to be the only fixer in the world that can do it! :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

But that would be selfish
and irresponsible of me!

....and I thank you for your kind words and appreciation John!
Everyone who takes the time to comment, has my full respect.
Cheers. :)

Now that is real class, and it took a class act to take the job on and finish to that level of perfection. The attention to detail is impeccable. So much care taken over the project from start to finish (even though other trades have tried their worst to mess it up). You stuck with it Marc, and I know sometimes you feel like walking, persistence and patience on your behalf. Well done mate, an absolute credit to you and your labourer ;)

. Well done mate, an absolute credit to you and your labourer ;)

That's very kind of you say John, cheers mate.
It's probably been a while since Gary's been referred to as a labourer tho! :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
There were no labourers mate
Gary, who got us up and going and figured out the best way to negotiate the landings and did the first one as well as the very first staircase, I followed his lead from then on in.
Then he came back to help with a copper lift surround and help set out the lobby floor.
And of course was at my beck and call on the phone if I needed it.
Brian, (one of Gary's colleague's who left just a couple weeks in, well he did come into some money suddenly )
Steve, (who fixed a part of the staircase for me once I had prepared the treads and risers and landings, and also helped fix the floor in the lobby with me, but he fixed only. Didn't get involved in the setting out or preparing)
Ray came and got his hands dirty for a day,
As did Mark (whitebeam) and Harry (hmtiling) he also spent the Day there.
I did the rest on my own, much to the frustration of the agent, but in fairness to him, he never complained ONCE, he wanted to, I could see it in his eyes! Haha but he didn't.

That is amazing Marc, top class, I really hope you got top dollar for that my friend , and I hope you wore the t shirts ;)
Again, like John said, possibly one of the best and time consuming jobs I've seen on here
Craig, thank you very much!
No amount of money would have compensated for the satisfaction it gave me.
(That's code for NO, no where near enough money!) hahaha :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:)
I did actually, right at the end.
And thank you again for that!
