I know I've knocked TTA over the years for not supporting the tiler as much as they could do. But as I'm going around the web sorting out our own tilers directory, I do keep coming across the TTA Tilers Directory.

Their independent tilers section, where I would assume you guys would be listed, is sparse though.

Only 68 independent tilers listed. That's terrible.

@MissTiler is on the last page right at the bottom when searching not by area alone.

I think they have some work to do for the fixer still.

And they're a million miles away from becoming some sort of CheckaTrade company. We have more hope than they do. And it's not something I'd take on. That's a whole different type of business and massive investment required advertising wise.

Checkatrade have a marketing budget bigger than the top 5 adhesive manufacturers and national tile outlets combined. I can't see TTA getting even 1% of a budget together. And if they're relying on a free wordpress website to compete with checkatrade, they're kidding the committee when they suggested it to them.

Nice optimism. Just not possible in the real world.

Well done though for getting 68 tilers. I know how hard it was to get 68 tilers sign up to something when we give them nothing in return. :D (our subscribed members lol - though they get to know they're supporting something at least!)

That all said - I do keep coming across their listings when they do have a tiler in an area. So their web person is doing alright with their wordpress site.

Keep up the good work TTA :)

The Tile Association Tilers Directory actually ranks now for some tiling related stuff.

So it might be worth considering these days. I used to knock it. But they're on it now it seems. Well done TTA. :)

Whilst this thread has been bumped up for sure, just because I replied to it, it doesn't mean it's current discussion. I'm just borrowing a post or two to help Dave's site a little. Please feel free to reply to this thread if you find it could perhaps be current discussion again now, especially now I've replied to it. :) lol
