BBC News - Facebook Places location-aware service launches in UK

Basically, you 'check in' to where you are. So if you're at the pub, you click check in, and your friends know where you are. If you don't know where it is, you click the map which is google maps.

I would recommend setting up your privacy well though if you have strangers as 'friends' in your account.

I like it, it's quite a good feature. I can also use it to check up on the guy's working for me to make sure they're at the job when they say they are.

oh weird!! Don't use my phone for the internet, so doesn't apply to me... but instinctively.... NO WAY!!! I like my privacy... why pronounce where I am every step of the way??

Already spoke to the two guys that work for me, that we'll be using this in some capacity for work. Luckily, they are two of the best guy's that I've had working for me (3 years now) and they know I'm a bit of a tech freak, so they're cool with it.
