So you've done the tanking in your wet area to protect the substrate and prevent water ingress to lower floors etc etc etc..... but if water does get through to your tanking, where does it go from there? My best guess is that it can only expunge back through the grout, what's your thoughts?

We have had a flood in our bathroom. Some of our granite tiles have become discoloured/darker/wet looking. It looks to me ( no tiler) that water has got underneath the tiles and has soaked in to the porous underside. Does anone know if we can expect them to dry out. Thanks M. Knowles

hi all,grouted the shower area in bal micro ban ivory grout last weekend,tested the shower last night and only a small amount of water went onto the tiles but where it touched the grout it went a darker damp shade,is this normal as it is obviously absorbing the water.:thumbsdown:
