Stick with dry wall adhesive, expanding foam does just that and may push the boards away from the wall.
Thanks.

This was the stuff I was looking a low expanding Dow Insta Stik Expanding Foam Grab Adhesive Gun Grade 750ml - http://www.NoLinksToThis/p/dow-insta-stik-expanding-foam-grab-adhesive-gun-grade-750ml/72793?kpid=KINASEKPID&cm_mmc=GoogleLocal-_-Datafeed-_-Sealants%20and%20Adhesives&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&gclid=CIuG7ebfx9ECFbEW0wod8fgFiQ

Just had spin through the reviews, I'll stick with trusted dry wall adhesive, they do state for plasterboard but just a matter of choice for convenience.
That's what I am thinking.

Only reason thinking this as I have a few tins.

I know it says plasterboard but that could just be standard drywall.

Banging a load of tiles onto it might push it over the limit??

I have just done the toilets of a shop after it was boarded out using this stuff, I was not keen to tile on it if I'm honest, bit the builder gave it the big bs and well I ended up sticking to it as it's on a regular contractt and didnt want to end up losing the work, the boarder is usually pretty good, but the areas where this stuff was used are all over the place, so I'm guessing it's not easy to use, but did feel sturdy enough, only time will tell tho

in terms of grab strength it is fine. It is used to stick floor boards to joists as well so has a high flexural strength. Don't know what the shear strength would be which is what you need for tiling but a call to the manufacturers would tell you that if the data sheet does not. I am intending to use a similar material to stick board to my kitchen walls as cannot afford the space to dot and dab with dry wall addy.
