hi all newby here...we have purchased a 1970 bungalow, turning into a bit of a nightmare, evidently the dpm subfloor is an Asphalt about 20 mm thick. can i tile onto this in our en-suite...what primer, preparation do i need.

Second Bigger question....We had planned to have Amtico laid onto our new underfloor heating in the main living area's, which uses a Mapie Ultraplan Maxi Self leveling compound ( its rebranded by the heating supplier) over wet under floor heating which is laid into a castellated plastic sheeting, about 22 mm thick stuck to the subfloor with a primer. The contractor who laid the heating also did the latex leveling, although its not what i would call level !! anyway..our specialist floor company tested the floor and we have high moisture levels after 3 months and having the undefloor working. Also sounds blown in a few places to. He needs to put more leveling down to compensate for the poor original and obviously to ensure a good finish for the Amtico. the flooring guy is concnerned the leveling is not mositure tolerant and will fail so he won't at the moment lay the 8 k flooring which is sitting in his warehouse......which i understand as he couldn't warranty it.

i've been told the whole thing may need to come up and be redone...to get to a moisture level acceptable for Amtico...my wifes not pleased aprox 75 m2 Mapie Rep is coming out to have a look and also give advice and report, they seem really good. we coul dput a moisture tolerant flooring down but that's not what we wanted...

any pointers Guidance advice welcome..
