Hi all,We have approx 80 m 2 of travertine floor laid in our kitchen and utility too Which has been laid for about 4 years. The floor has lost it's shine and a number of small holes and cracks have appeared. It is laid on underfloor heating. I an looking for advice please on what products to use and how best to fill and repair the floor please.Many thanks

I agree with Doug.... Travertine is mostly honed finish.. so was a surface ( Topical ) sealer used.. if so do you know which one..?


If not don't worry as it can be sorted and restored to new....

hi there thanks for your responses. The floor was laid and grouted and then approx 3 coats of a sealer added. The tiles and sealer came from topps tiles and were recommended by them.

You need a High Alkaline cleaner combined with a rotary scrubber and a soft to medium rotary scrubbing brush and a wet vacuum to sort the cleaning then a stukko repair resin Knife grade to fill the holes and then a good quality premium penetrating sealer to seal.
