how long do you wait before filling a pool

does any one have any advice on how long to wait before filling a pool after tiling

a link to some technical details i could print out & could give to customer would be very helpful
ive google but cant find anything,

I've seen us grouting at the shallow end of a 20m pool whilst they were starting to fill at the deep end:yikes:

Which is SO wrong so don't take that as advice, but some builders just won't be told:mad2:

3 weeks.. depending on grout i suppose.

It is covered in....BS 5385art 4:2009.... clause 7.2.10.

i was not sure!! officially yes about 2-3 weeks, but the same with me peeps filling while I'm coming up the slope with grout :yikes:, it's usually the final payment on finish that make's them do this sort of thing

I'd always worked on 2 weeks Dave

But it tends to be down to how long the builder has before PC:incazzato:

now go back to your forum setting up :lol: to make a pool break it's back is caused by hydrostatic pressure pushing an empty pool out of the ground and it usually breaks it's back :lol::lol::lol: but yes to fill-up the pool slower is better, and with heating it up

I always run things through the tech. dept. Kev, reps are good, but better to get info from the boffins imo

Thats exactly why I asked Phil mate

If your rep has just started, he or she could have been selling cups and saucers to John Lewis the week before:lol: The tech. dept. know the products inside out

And yes, I know, that theory doesn't apply to 'ALL' reps before I get shot down:lol:But better to be safe than sorry:smilewinkgrin:
