If in doubt prime with acrylic primer, referr to the adhesive makers recommendations first if they say no need then don't bother...Gaz

I wouldn't advise tiling a floating floor anyway.........what is your reason for Ditra on this type of floor..?

the floating floor is rigid - hardly any movement, wanted to avoid the step that ply can cause and also account for any slight movement. Ditra offered me the solution. No come backs as of yet.

Also the Johnsons speedflex is as good as the dunlop or bal equivalent imo. Again no come backs!!

It would appear to me that you have all the answers and as you will be using Jonsons adhesive maybe you should look up their data before you go ahead.
