wetroom tiling

Search the forum,
A shower is a place in which a person bathes under a spray of typically warm or hot water. Indoors, there is a drain in the floor. Most showers have temperature, spray pressure and adjustable showerhead nozzle. The simplest showers have a swivelling nozzle aiming down on the user, while more complex showers have a showerhead connected to a hose that has a mounting bracket. This allows the showerer to hold the showerhead by hand to spray the water at different parts of their body. A shower can be installed in a small shower stall or bathtub with a plastic shower curtain or door. Showering is common in Western culture due to the efficiency of using it compared with a bathtub. Its use in hygiene is, therefore, common practice.

Wetroom shower screen - expensive? Should we get coating?

I'm after a wetroom screen for mum's bathroom. We wanted a tall wetroom screen, but didn't realise they'd be quite so costly. £260 for hardened glass that measures 2250mm x 880mm x 10mm. The coating which is supposed to help with cleaning and limescale is an extra £110. So a total £370. Is...

Hi, I am going to build a small (7m2) wet room on the ground floor of a granite farmhouse. The rest of the ground floor is drained breathable limecrete. In the wetroom at present there is compressed (structural) drainable Foam Glass insulation (Misapor). The insulating slab (lime/Misapor/sand)...

Where mosaic meets 60x30 in wetroom

morning, So I’m tiling the floor today in the wetroom (yup, still on this job!). The tray I’m doing in 10mm porcelain mosaic (4mm addy bed), the remainder in 10mm porcelain 60x30 (12mm addy bed). The mosaic will sit lower. I need to raise it by 4mm so there isn’t a step, how would I do that...

Wetroom shower screen - how to make it stand up!

Hi, I'd like to fit in a shower screen 1850 x 900. The new style of screen on the likes of Houzzz look ver minimialist without the long bracket going to a wall or ceiling to provide support. I'm wondering how they make it stable enough? I've uploaded a picture with labels "A" and "B" on it...

Hi All Just a quick hello and introduction. I have an approach to wetroom floors and walls that doesn’t require tanking or tiling. We make floors and shower trays in sections that can be joined seamlessly on site, to appear as 1 piece, and can be installed on plywood or concrete bases. The...

    Wetroom pooling how to fix?

My most recent DIY project has been to convert my en-suite into a wetroom. Been at it for months and now at the finishing stage. Turned on the shower for the 1st time and I have pooling in the centre of the floor. I have obviously misjudged how large a shower tray footprint I require. I have...

    Wetroom tray with few cuts

Hi, my mum would love a wetroom, but finding it difficult to fugure out some of the practicalities. In houzz etc. we see wetrooms with few tile cuts which look glorious. Somehow the tiles must be angled to allow the water to drain away. But I'm unsure of how to find these trays online? Should...

    Tiling around Wetroom tray drain

Hi, We've just had a wetroom put in and everything has gone really well and I'm happy apart from the tiling around the drain. I assume this isn't the finish/ standard that I should be getting? Or does it just need to be grouted/siliconed?

    Wetroom glass panel adjustment?

right this is going to sound dumb but could someone please clarify - when the wetroom glass says for example 975-1000mm / 25mm adjustment Does this mean that the glass itself is 975mm and using the channel can be extended to 1m Or The glass itself is actually 1m but can be sunk deeper into...
