This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love.

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them..:smilewinkgrin:.

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

windows also had simplex system installed to allow bottom sash to open inward, this is also know as easy clean as it allows the home owner to maintain outer windows much easier.

Dont worry, I would be the first to kick up a fuss if this happened

Did you know that in Germany the norm is for windows to open inwards? I still have trouble accepting why that isn't done here, and you can still have stuff on the window sills if you like because windows can open just just alittle, with tha axis round the bottom, so the top comes in a bit, but to clean you just clear the window sills and open them up fully, inward, and cleaning is so easy!!

I do know that sash windows may have orriginated from Germany/ netherlands area but some people argue that it was the french who invented them.

I bet you noticed a big difference when you renovated your windows? I have worked on windows 100 years old and still working well, I dont think todays UPVC windows will ever beat that!

It's not sash windows in Germany I was talking about, all window, no matter what design really, all just open inwards... so much more logical... and you also have set in the wall roll down shutters people use all the time, against cold, hailstone, sun, controlled either by remote control or by a pull belt inside next to the window ... the shutter boxes are not visible from the outside.

As to the satisfaction with the windows renovation, it was all great, really, it was a grade 2 listed cottage so everything had to be really spot on, and it was...

...just need to sort out the difference in riser levels on steps now, as originally ffl was gonna be a couple of inches lower, but should be able to sort that out with some thicker flags on first tread and a thinner one on middle tread

from the mouths of babes..... I'd run out of glazing packers to ensure even gaps and was wondering what else I could use when Harrison (aged 5) said... "Why not use tile spacers dad ? you've got millions of them".... good lad, I'd not thought of that!

I love tidy tiling... - that pencil mark on the tile by the left doorframe - did that come off again? And that toilet lid design, nothing to do with you, I know, but will that stay like that?
