i am interested in doing a 10 day tiling course nvq level 1 does that mean i will be nvq qualified as anyone been on these courses and will i be able to tile with confidence and get paid work thanks

In answer to your question. It will depend on how well you pick up the art of tiling and how confident you are....but I doubt very much you would be able to complete tiling work after a one week course. You may be able to do basic work but even then at a very slow rate...people will only pay so much..so if it would take you 3 days to tile a kitchen splashback and an experienced tiler could do it in less than a day then the client will be looking at paying a days money....If that makes sense.
A course will only give you the basics, after that it would be ideal if you could get to work with an experienced tiler for a while so you see what the real world has to offer.

In the UK there is NO NVQ Level 1 for tiling. If you do a Qualification in a college or in an independent training centre and it is all simulated then you will be on a Diploma not an NVQ. You will only be on an NVQ if you are working in the industry and YOU WILL NOT GET AN NVQ IN 10 DAYS !!!!!!!
