Does anyone watch Restoration Man?

I really love watching things like this, it's so interesting seeing the history of a building and then watching as someone takes time and effort to restore it. I would love to do something like that one day.

George Clarke, the architect who presents the show is from Sunderland too!

I watched the first one last week with the Folly, really liked it. Shame they made him put the glass panel in between the old and new parts, i thought it looked great as it was

Its on talk talk catch up

some channel 4 and bbc programs are recorded for a week

its a bit basic compared to sky and doesnt have itv

but its cheap

well that came out better than I expected, getting 2 storeys to work in these buildings is difficult, barn conversions are bad enough

lack of cash doesnt help but at least he didnt skimp on the reroof , he will be glad he didnt in years to come

secondhand welsh slates are better value than new spanish

all in all came out well

I think the best part was the fact he learnt how to do everything from the internet and bought a lot of the material from ebay.

I would be very proud to say I built that on my own with no experience
