how much water

Have been using dunlop rapid set today cant get mix right, either too wet or to stiff is there a certain amount of water to add for proper texture for a 20kg bag.

I scan read a bag of muck i have not used before. Then just mix it till its right, adding water or powder till im happy with the consistancy. No magic formulae

On average about 5ltrs a bag..( BAL & dunlop)...........but i don't think on most jobs you would be mixing that amont in one go......

Thats about what i generally go to Dave about 5 litres per bag and mix approx 1/3 of bag which gives me about 1 - 2 metres coverage.

Dont Know must be having one of those days today didnt want to do the job and missed the match too never mind will finish off tomorrow.

must of mixed 500000 bags at least no idea how much just untill its right for what you need :lol:

The right proportions varies between brands and types. Read the info on the bag. Use a graded scoop or bucket if you feel you need to, but most adhesives and grouts list proprtions in parts, as well as Kg's and litres. For example, the adhesive I'm going to use tomorrow lists mixing proportions as 1 part water to 2,5 parts powder. Quick and easy once you get the feel for it.

Very little water, like a cup or so, can mean the differance between "just right" and "too loose", or "to stiff".
