I was under the impression and informed by two sources that you had to put a mat down in the form of vario pro, or durabase in order to tile over a screed quickly without the drying time, is that not right?

I think the ditra is more expensive Julian, and it's not a high price job, it's about 20sq.
Do you think it's necessary to leave skirting off while the screed dries ?

realistically how long is it going to be from screed going down till you have tiled it ready for skirting? 4 or 5 weeks? Put skirting on.

You do not use these products in the uk?
sand cement, premixed and rapid.
after 24 hours, you can lay tiles

I like Name pronto!
Not sure if that stuff exists here or if eBay would even be suitable for a 20m floor area at 75mm thick. You would need a lot of bags!
