Hey Alby, I did the same PITT course several years back when I was starting out. On the whole I would describe the course as excellent, very well run with a huge amount of information/tips of the trade passed on and lots of practical time.

Left the course full of confidence but soon realised that nothing beats time on the tools and experience. I'm not suggesting that the course lacked anything, on the contrary it was very good but you don't get a chance to build speed up and discussing problems in a workshop enviroment is very different to being faced with them onsite. eg my first job took me 8 very long days....I'll now knock out the same job in about 2 days!

What am I saying...well I think PITT is an excellent starting point, how it compares to other courses I couldn't say but as long as you're realistic that a 4 week course isn't going to make you the countries finest tiler / a competent plumber and that you'll still have a lot to learn I'd say definately go for it. Don't forget PITT run their own forum (am I allowed to say that here?!!) and with Tilers Forum as well you've access to a huge amount of support and technical backup from guys that really know their stuff. Any more questions don't hesitate to ask. Good Luck matey - Chris
