WOW tried this stuff today... its the business! easier on the arm, faster to spread, lighter to get out of the van. tilemaster take a bow.
when I first mixed it up I didn't know whether to spread it on top of a cake or fix tiles with it, creamy or what. give it a go, great stuff.

Is it standard setting? How well does it collapse get good coverage compared to regular setaflex ?

in my opinion I wouldn't like to build up an uneven floor with it, you'd get more control with a setaflex, but if your floor is bang on then spread away with ease. really nice to spread without the solid forearm from pushing the trowel around. fills in the waffles on ditra piece of cake.

standard setting yes, and when you back butter the tile and lift its given total coverage. its excellent stuff. I don't think it would be much good on a wall that you'd need grab on as its a bit thin for that, but a great plus is the effort it takes to spread, I noticed that immediately... effortless

mapei ultralite s1/s2 are pretty good , used it with 1200 x 600 porcelain wall tiles 6mm thick , the extra coverage you get from them is bonkers !!!

that's what I was using it on too but 10mm really impressed

It stays "green" for a long time. Not a problem unless you're fixing water-sensitive stone, but don't be surprised if you remove a tile after a couple of days and the adhesive is still damp.
Full bond strength takes a while.
A very nice adhesive though and it gets my confidence.

i know, I forgot to put the clips in for the following day... they slipped in no problem in the morning. have you tried the rapid set? maybe its like normal setting

I didn't know there was a rapid lightweight Chris.
I can't buy it in Preston (where it's made) without special ordering - crazy I know!

I didn't know either, but the salesman said did I want normal or rapid setting. I think he's getting confused personally

Thanks for the comments Chris. We find that most fixers that use Lightweight then stay with it. Impish is correct in checking the suitability of some moisture sensitive natural tiles because of the large water content of the adhesive. It has been described to us has "like working with Angel Delight". If you mix at eight litres of water it will hold a 600x6000 porcelain on a flat wall without slippage.
