Ok, Question ( Blimey that didn't take long i hear you say)
Laying tiles out. Would you start so that a full tile was visible on a wall you can see and have the cut on a wall behind a sofa rather than start from centre of room. I will be laying brick fashion so short cuts will be on both sides to create the pattern, but i,m referring to the long side cut ( 600x300).
The way i have always done it but i know the "norm" is start at centre ( so i believe)

you would be better off centreing the tiles on the wall to avoid small cuts and try to follow the tile around the wall i.e. a 1/3 rd of a tile one side and 2/3rds the other side of the wall. your walls need to be flat for brick bond and check your tiles aren't bowed by putting them face to face.

ALLWAYS CHECK THAT YOUR TILES ARE NOT BOWED

That is very good advice from mike

Start from your centre and see what cuts you have any thing over 300mm is fine

Good luck
