Priming with Bond It SBR - Tile Advice

Hi, super basic question,

Okay to prime standard multifinish surface and left to dry the day before tiler comes, with Bond It SBR Admixture 1:1 with water?

SBR Admixture A styrene butadiene copolymer latex, which increases flexibility of cement screeds and mortars and improves water and chemical resistance and durability. - bond-it.co.uk/builders-complete-range/sbr-admixture

Don't think you always dilute do you? What's it say on the website?

Prime it with a mixture of 4:1 x 2 coats. Don’t use a neat mix or it will just skin and peel off.

Not letting me post the tech spec! Bottle says general priming 1:1 with water

Cheers just to clarify that's 4 parts SBR only 1 water? Bottle says priming 1:1.

4 parts water to 1 primer. I find sbr can skin and peel. You want it to soak in and create a barrier when using a cement based adhesive. Do you know what adhesive your tiler is using ?

That is a dispersion adhesive and needs a porous background for the adhesive to key too. It holds to the capillaries in the surface. If you seal it then it can prevent a good adherence and drying times will take ages as it dries by dispersion into the substrate and the tile biscuit.
