Search the forum,
A tool is an object that can extend an individual's ability to modify features of the surrounding environment. Although many animals use simple tools, only human beings, whose use of stone tools dates back hundreds of millennia, have been observed using tools to make other tools. Early tools, made of such materials as stone, bone, and wood, were used for preparation of food, hunting, manufacture of weapons, and working of materials to produce clothing and useful artifacts. The development of metalworking made additional types of tools possible. Harnessing energy sources such as animal power, wind, or steam, allowed increasingly complex tools to produce an even larger range of items, with the Industrial Revolution marking an marked inflection point in the use of tools. The introduction of automation allowed tools to operate with minimal human supervision, further increasing the productivity of human labor.

thought some people on here would be interested in a very large tool box on wheels with extendable handle for £19.99, i bought mine today, picked it up tho so avoided the £12 postage cost, but i must say its absoloutly huge! :whatchutalkingabout
seems a good solid box, well worth the money spent...
I've noticed in some of the 'complete set of tiling tools' that you can buy they often include a suction cup such as they use for lifting glass panes.
has anyone ever used one of these for larger tiles and are they any good?
On many an occasion, I have been alone in my customers house in the middle of the job, gone to the van for a certain tool only to realise that I had forgotten to take it to work with me. This is then the point where I ended up like a crazed annimal, rummidging through old tool chests, drawers...
Just out of interest what is your favourite bit of kit in your van? Mine would be my Janser door trimmer at £15 per door. It takes about 30 seconds thats £30 per minute! B E A utifal

I just seen a Punching tool on BuyBrandTools website.
How does a Punching tool work in a dry cutter and how does it allow shapes to be cut out of tiles?
I take it you secure on the cutter where a scoring wheel would sit ... but what is the process from then on?
Thanx

Got a few jobs lined up and had some mild pressure to start one. Got together a decent set of tools to get cracking and they are piled up in a large gorilla bucket at the moment.
