hello
you could try use VULCASEAL DC135, it will lighten your mosaic for sure, if its small area you could get a professional and refinish mosaic surface.
good luck
Hello
would recommend for this kind of job bal pourable thick beg adhesive with admix ad1, you would get solid bed, it's rapid setting too, used it before with the same format tiles.
good luck
hello Rob
I would recommend brick style for this kind of tile. Did a living room in same size limestone.
expansion joint should be 5mm, that's a big area so you will need few expansions
Good luck
hello
you can loose that 1mm if you open joints slightly, 3mm at least, also if you have wet saw you can make these tiles 300 x 600, and then lay them brick bond.
good luck
hello and welcome
and don't forget to prime your chipboard before applying adhesive for hardibacker, you can use sbr or similar primer just not PVA
good luck
if the area is small you can do, but you will not get as good finish as with polishing machine, if you choose to use variable speed grinder then you will also need another 180mm grinder with wool pad for paste or crystallizer application, sometimes if the scratch is not deep you can just polish...
hello
Yes repair kit does work, did a job few year ago, plumber drilled through heat mat, so had to lift the tile and repair it, was really simple to repair it too. So don't stress just repair it and everything will be fine ;)
good luck
Hello and welcome
do you know if your tiles been sealed?
if so I would recommend stripping sealer of as it will help for moisture
evaporate, wouldn't recommend stripping tiles off yet,
you might find out that tiles will dry out and will look as they should,
At the moment all moisture is trapped...
hello and welcome
make sure you back butter the tile, don't know which ady you used but try 2 part, it will give more strength and extra flexibility, try something like ardex x7 with E 90 admix
good luck
hi
you can hire marble polishing machine, cost about 50£ for one day, you will need different grades polishing pads to remove scratches, also you should buy some polishing powder, and soapy water
gl
hello and welcome
do you know which ady he used? did he back butter the tile? if you jump on the floor is the floor deflecting? where the tiles been stored before application? can you see how many mm of adhesive he used under the tiles? is it any chance you can take some photos of your floor...
It's most likely movement in substrate, take the tiles off and you will see crack in substrate, replacing tiles will not help,
you might have to overboard the wall
good luck
hello
If your floor have no deflection then instead of ply use 6mm hardibacker, prime the chipboard, glue and screw hardi down, then UFH and then latex, for natural stone with UFH would also recommend decoupling membrane
good luck
If you bought adhesive already, then just buy Ditra matting, keraflex maxi will be fine for you application, it's just really long drying adhesive thats all
good luck
