So after reading up on mitering porcelain and admiring some of the quality mitre jobs on here, Im tempted to have a crack instead of installing trim, as imo it looks far superior.

One query with regard to the epoxy though:

I would like cement grey grout. Looking at the Polysoft resin I'm assuming I'd have to buy the colours, add black (as i cant see a grey) and by trial and error get a colour which is an acceptable match?
It's not as easy as buying the same colour 'epoxy grout' and using that

Well you can use grout, but never on polished finishes, it doesn’t look right.
Matt finishes, you can get away with it to some extent.

....... and yes for the colour you want, get white resin and colour with black colourant, and possibly a touch of ochre.
The colourant is only about a fiver a pop.
Make sure the colourant is either specifically for polyester resin or universal.

All you do is decent enough white resin for your corners, then add a pin head (I mean pin head) of black till you reach the required colour.
You need to mix in one go or you’ll never repeat the colour again.
Then when you use it, take a small piece away from main body of colour and add The hardener. That way you shouldn’t mix too much at once and waste it. Kept in air tight container I’ll last a few days.
