that

Search the forum,
That is an English-language word used for several grammatical purposes. These include use as an adjective, conjunction, pronoun, adverb, and intensifier; it has distance from the speaker, as opposed to words like this. The word did not originally exist in Old English, and its concept was represented by þe. Once it came into being, it was spelt as þæt (among others, such as þet), taking the role of the modern that. It also took on the role of the modern word what, though this has since changed, and that has recently replaced some usage of the modern which. Pronunciation of the word varies according to its role within a sentence, with two main varieties (a strong and a weak form), though there are also regional differences, such as where the sound is substituted instead by a in English spoken in Cameroon.

Can tilers plug their local tile stores that they use please?

I think this is okay to do. I can't see this upsetting a relationship you have. But by all means if you want to keep your suppliers to yourself, don't do this. That said, if you don't mind doing so, and do want to give your local tile store some acknowledgement (and perhaps one day therefore...

Tilers Workwear - Trousers, Polo Shirts, That kinda jazz - What are you paying for them?

We're getting some forum shirts done, Polo Shirts, found a good quality one that's longer than normal. Don't like the ones that ride up when you're bending over tiling etc. It'll have the forum name on the sleeve, but your own logo on the breast-pocket area (there's no pocket, you know that...

Why have the professional tiler tags been replaced with arms members tags. Surely only forum members will know what this means

To mitre or not to mitre, that is the question!

As above. As a DIY’er what would be the best way to cut the square edge type polished metal tile trims? I have normal tin snips, hacksaws and even one of those Evolution compound angle chop saws that cuts through steel and alsorts-but will the blade bash the trim to bits? Would I be better...

He does various work like joinery, painting, wallapering, tiling etc. I turned up at the job to find this: I told him I wouldn't be able to do it...
