hi all , just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on grout colour for matt white floor tiles - 50 m2 on whole ground floor of small bungalow ? my thoughts were white is going to get dirty ,possibly ivory or grey better ? any ideas ?

If its got a pedestal then fixing not so important ? Once on pedestal then plenty of silicone behind the basin and let it go off overnight . Seen it done plenty before when ripping out old bathrooms .in an ideal world extra studding would have been put where screws are needed I suppose. .

bought the dewalt 410 for some 1200mm x 600mm full bod porcelain .attached the hose to a water pump (£30) and put a marcrist blade in after destroying the blade that comes with it and it is fantastic - hot knife though butter ! can`t recommended highly enough

back wednesday to check the screed - it was approx 80mm apparently 30 mm off so still 50mm thick before i`ve now got to level 90 m2 in the one day !looking forward to that ! now going to order the hand held saw + pump + blade - sure it`ll earn its money on this! thanks for all help .

with this cutter how does it attach to water supply or do you have a pump in a bucket of water nearby ?

i`ve got a thread going in the arms about some large format tiles 1200x600 mm and was wondering if the dewalt dc410 hand held wet saw would cope with these and lots of other tiles . anyone got one ? many thanks

so big saws needed - done( i think !) also new screed floor as requested was perfect - has just had to be scabbled down 30 mm as they put the screed in too high for the door frames which meant the tile was higher than the thresholds!- tile is also continuing outside so levels had to be pretty...

i use 22 mm structured ply (tongue and grooved at both ends )comes in sheet size 2400 x 600mm .ideal for preparing floors for 22mm impey aquadec wetroom trays when old chipboard has been removed .if going ontop of chipboard when just tiling i use either hardi or no more ply 6mm glued and screwed.
