Hi Dont know if this is on another thread but what is the best way to clean slate before sealing? Whenever I try to clean with a sponge and clean water it leaves a stain when the slate dries out.

Whats the best way to clean them before sealing and grouting.When I wipe them with a damp sponge it leaves a stain.

Think its a brilliant effort for your first attempt.Bet theres loads of tilers who wouldnt like to be reminded of their first job on their own.

The floor is half t&g timber floor the other half concrete screed

Hi Would it be possible to tile over a slate floor that has been laid on a decoupling membrane? Would I need to remove the seal that has been applied to the existing floor before applying the adhesive? I know it isnt ideal but taking up the existing floor is a major job that the customer doesnt...

Hi I would like to know 1 Is it possible to tile over an existing slate floor with new slate tiles? 2If so would the sealer on the existing floor need to be removed prior to tiling? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
