    I thought you had to get it roughly level and that smoothed it out. I've read on here that you cant just pour it on and leave it to do the rest. Yes the slc is flexible

    Cheers Phil thats a good idea I don't think it's for me though because my room is only small. I'm thinking of doing something similar. I've had a look at it today now it's dry and I'm thinkining of getting some thin plastic strips about 2mm should do the job, and laying them on top of the cables...

    cheers dave I'll have to have a think then, use adhesive or raise floor height a bit more. any tips on getting a level surface if I use the slc ? As I wont have the cables as a guide. Thanks again for the help I've got to go now I'm on nights but I'd be glad of any advice ta

    Yes Kilty I did it was ok to use but watch out for it splattering if you use a brush to apply it. About £25 for 5kg

    Cheers dave would using adhesive to level the low bit be an option ? I'm a first time diyer so any help would be great. I'm trying to avoid raising the floor height any more than needed.

    Thanks for the advice, so will it be ok to use less than 3mm on the bits that are thickest. The problem is I run out of the screed so half the room is ok the level is just above the cables the other half is to low the cables are still exposed. So do you recommend 3mm on top of the highest point...

    Hello can anyone give me some advice on which slc to buy ? I'm trying to cover ufh cables and I've already used a bag of ultraplan renovation screed but it doesn't quite cover the cables. I need a slc that goes from a feather edge to about 3mm and is easily available, can anyone help ?

    Thanks. I have spoken to mapei they recommended their own product but its expensive and I'll have to order it so it'll delay the job which I'm trying to avoid. The insulation board seems to be the same as other manufacturers it's a polystyrene core with a cement coating. What do you all use with...

    Thanks for the replys does anyone use this SLC and what do you use to prime or not ? I've seen posts using the SLC but no mention of the primer used. Would BAL prime APD do the job ? Mapei would only recommend their own products.
